So, I've started WW again.
Let me start by saying that I haven't been entirely off program. It's just the fact that I've had a lot going on.
See, I now live in a suburb of Richmond, VA. My husband got transferred (by our choice) to this new locale. We love the area. But let me tell you, moving is stressful. And doing WW at work and no longer being at work, kind of leaves you in a lurch. So two days ago I marched myself into a meeting about 3 miles from our apartment and decided to get back on track.
My weight has been yo-yoing a bit due to the nerves of moving. There were days I would wake up, throw up, and continue to not have an appetite for the rest of the week I was so anxious about the move. I mean, we were taking a huge leap of faith by moving across the country for his job. Luckily, I found a job before I moved. It's not quite HR, but it's close enough. Staffing really is the part I like about HR, it's just a little more cut-throat.
But, I'm pretty happy with my progress. I'm about to where I was weight wise before the whole move thing started. So it's time to start my journey again. Our moving debt is almost paid off, and once it is, we'll be joining the local YMCA so I can exercise some of this weight away!
Wish me luck!

Making Progress
We're on our next ten week stint with WW at Work.
I weighed in at 204. I lost 21 pounds in about 11 weeks. Not weight loss like one of those diet pill commercials, but I'm losing weight healthily and in a way that it'll keep off. I feel healthier, I look better, and it's not stopping.
I'm getting more into the exercise part. Summer's here, so our pool's open. Sean and I have been swimming a lot more. Thursday we swam for about 1.5 hours, but for about a good 45 minutes of it we were bouncing up and down throwing a water volleyball. Surprisingly, my butt was completely aching the next day. Through out this whole thing, my butt has actually gotten firmer and a better shape than it's ever been.
So, even though I'm still at one of the heaviest points in my life (but not the heaviest!), parts of me are in the best shape they've ever been.
I do miss some foods. I miss just ordering a pizza when we don't feel like cooking. I miss feeling bad and getting cheese fries and an icecream blast from Sonic to soothe my pain. But, it's okay. The only big problem with eating healthier is that it costs more. You can still get just as much flavor. It's just harder to eat out and have a wide variety of choices.
It's working.
My thought is, if I lose one pound a week until a year from today, I can be 52 lbs lighter. That's doable. I just need to keep my determination.

A Victory...
...even if it is small.
This weigh-in wasn't quite as spectacular as last time. But, I lost. I had my period. I ate every single piece of food that was within 10 feet of me. I didn't even work out once. Not that I worked out hugely the previous week. I did some form of exercise for 30 minutes four times that week. But nothing.
And I lost .5lbs.
My goal is to be very close to my goal weight in 8 months. I can do it. I know I can.

Losing a point
I reached a weight where I can move down to the points that I'm using.
That feels great.
I wore a pair of jeans today that haven't fit since a few weeks after I bought them. And I looked good. I looked at my profile in the mirror, and my belly is not as big as it used to be. It's a good feeling. It makes me want to keep losing. Part of me wants to lose it faster still. I want to weight what I did in high school. I'd love to weigh 150. I think I'd cry if I weighed 150.
At this point, I just want to get below 200. I cannot believe that I let myself get that big. But I did. And I was 25 lbs heavier than THAT.
Not anymore. This weight I'm losing, it's staying off.

Five Weeks Down...
...and 14.5lbs off!
I haven't updated in a while. In my professional life, things have kind of gonna on a little bit of an emotional rollercoaster. I'm on more of a relaxed, even keel this week. Last week, all I wanted was a Sonic Size Fries With Cheese and a tub of Ben + Jerry's. But I didn't. I just cried and ate my apples and carrots.
This week I weighed in a lot less than I thought I would.
Not all surprises are horrible!
So anyway, I'm not quite to dropping my next flex point, but I'm going to experiment. I'm dropping early and seeing if it'll get me down to my next point.
I started exercising more this week. My goal is to at least exercise for 30 minutes five times this week. So far I have one down, four to go. I walked a little over 1.5 miles while carrying 2lb weights. By my third lap around the park (each lap is approximately .5 miles), my arms were dying. I looked a little silly, but I started lifting them above my head and it felt a little better.
I'm losing it. It's a slow and steady pace, but it's coming off.

One Pound
That's all I lost this week.
But that's okay. My period wreaked havoc through my body. Chocolate was all I wanted and I couldn't stop eating to save my life. I used over half of my flex points. Sonic and Domino's are bad choices, but satisfy the cravings.
But I lost.
I lost a pound on my period! But, that's okay. I know I'll lose more this week.
I'm just very happy with life right now.

I've been a bad, bad girl
I’ve been bad.
When I weighed in on Monday I lost another 5 lbs. I thought if I was lucky, I’d lose maybe 1lb. Because Easter consisted of me grazing on just about every good snack and dessert my mom and I slaved over. But somehow, my body decided to like me and I lost five pounds. Which brings the total up to 11.5 lbs missing from my body.
But Monday not only came with a weight loss of 5 lbs, but a visit from my period.
For all intensive purposes, I am not normal, nor will I ever be normal. But I am not normal in the sense that I don’t crave chocolate. With one exception. When I get my period chocolate is the only thing my body needs. This does not bode well for my Weight Watchers plan.
Not only that, but I can’t seem to stop eating. I feel like one hand wants to work while the other one just wants to constantly shovel food into my mouth. This does not work well for my measly 28 points a day.
My flex points went right out the window yesterday.
Usually Sean and I save those 35 flex points so we can have a date night on a Friday night. Date night came on Wednesday this week with half a thin crust Domino’s Pizza, a Snickers Easter Egg, and a new Mortal Kombat game.
I’ve used 18 of my 35 flex points, and it’s not quite half way through my week.
Today’s been better. But I still want to eat. My office is free of food. With the exception of some stale saltines in case of my stomach revolting against me. So I’ve been chugging water. I made sure to make my turkey, fat-free cheese, and honey mustard on lite honey wheat bread which only cost me 3 pts. But I’ve got 2 ½ hours to go before I’m done work. But then I do 75 minutes of yoga, which kills some time before I have to go back to my apartment filled with Easter goodness.
But I can tell its working. My body is functioning so much better. I feel happier, healthier, and more energized.
And, Sean’s lost weight too! He’s down 10 lbs and is barely following the program.
Let’s hope I can lose next week too!
